Hello!

My name is Omkar Waingankar, and I’m currently a Software Engineer on the Agents team at ElevenLabs, working on cutting-edge AI voice technology and conversational agents.

Previously, I was a founding engineer at Wayfaster, building voice AI agents to revolutionize recruiting. Before that, I was on the Platform Team at Nylas, and I invested in startups with Bhaskar Ghosh at 8VC.

On the side, I enjoy building and testing my own projects; I’m currently exploring 1) agentic coding and 2) AI safety.

I was born in Worcester, MA, spent my early childhood in Orange, CT, and then grew up in Alpharetta, GA from the age of ten onwards. After high school, I attended the University of California, Berkeley where I graduated with an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science.

Outside of work, some of my hobbies include hiking, snowboarding, lifting, travel, and going to concerts! Most recently, my girlfriend and I rented a campervan and spent a week in Olympic National Park.
